Venom: Storm The Gates (2018) - CD

Venom is one of the first black metal bands. It was founded in 1978 in Newcastle, England. Her music has been influenced by various hard-rock, punk and heavy metal bands such as Judas Priest, Sex Pistols, Kiss and Motörhead.

Venom' s music, as well as their image, significantly influenced death metal, black metal and thrash metal bands. For example, Mayhem, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Death, Testament, Hellhammer, Exodus, Eudoxis and Morbid Angel cite Venom as one of their main sources of inspiration.

Their music is closer to speed metal, lyrics and song themes (satanism, hell, etc. ) were significantly different from the others at the time. Their first two records, Welcome to Hell from 1981 and Black Metal from 1982, paved the way for other black metal bands.
