Vertigo - Blu-ray

Vertigo is for many the best work of director Alfred Hitchcock. The story is set in the familiar surroundings of San Francisco and creates a tangled web of mistaken identity, passion and murder. James Stewart gives a brilliant performance as Scottie Ferguson, a detective with a morbid fear of heights who saves a mysterious blonde (Kim Novak) from drowning in the bay. Obsessed with his desire for this cold and charming woman, he must unravel the secrets of the past to find the key to his future. Vertigo ranks among the 100 greatest films of all time (American Film Institute), it is "a truly great film that deserves multiple viewings" (Leonard Maltin's Classic Movie Guide).
