Werewolf

The legendary novel after which the Nazi resistance movement was named. The novel is set in the German countryside during the Thirty Years' War and describes the invasion and pillaging of the countryside by wandering armies, mostly Swedish. The main character here is Harm Wulf, a peasant from Lunebor Heath, who under the weight of historical events organizes a village militia that resists these elements and successfully manages to defend itself against a numerically superior enemy by means of diversionary tactics.
