Volunteer diary

From the diary of a volunteer and his wife

His name is Mac. He is a former professional soldier of the Czech Armed Forces, but also a husband and father of two sons. Since 2022, he has been volunteering in the combat zones of embattled Ukraine as a medic, instructor and aid coordinator for those most in need. He is one of the men awarded the Cross of Merit by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence in 2024. Listen to volunteer Mac's diary entries. His observations and feelings from his trip to Ukraine were also recorded in his diary by his wife. Mac says the most important thing now is that support for the Ukrainian fighters doesn't stop.
"When people help us, I can get things right here on the spot and immediately, this is hugely important. It really saves lives here." says the Czech fighter. (Forum24, Martin Skýpala)
