They traded the American dream.

Two friends ( Jonah Hill and Miles Teller ), just in their twenties, living in Miami Beach during the Iraq war, decided to take full advantage of a little-known government initiative to allow small businesses to bid for U. S. military contracts.
The humble beginnings soon began to make big money and live on high. But the situation will overwhelm the two main characters when they manage to win a $ 300 million contract to supply weapons to the Afghan military - but as it turns out, a business involving a few very dubious people, including the US government.
