Warrior of the Sun - DVD

Young lawyer Bahar is visiting her family in Kurdistan. During an extremist attack, her husband is killed, and she, along with her son and other women and children, is taken hostage by Islamists.
Several months after her successful escape, she commands the Girls of the Sun unit. Her goal is to retake the town where the tragedy struck and get her son back. During the three-day offensive, she is accompanied by Mathilde, an experienced war correspondent covering the moving stories of the Kurdish female fighters and their strong sisterly bonds.

Girls of the Sun is a compelling look at the heroism of ordinary people in an extreme situation.
