Watch him die

Young investigator Harriet returns from Stockholm to her hometown of Skåne to join the local police team and take care of her aging father Eugene. But the idyll of the fishing village of Lerviken, which he knows from his childhood, is shattered by a brutal murder.

Wealthy Laura Andersson is found dead in the barn of her own farmhouse and the police are forced to pull out all the stops to track down the psychopathic killer. As more mysteries pile up and the investigative team is desperately short of capacity, Harriet finds herself facing the distrust of her superiors and police colleagues in her new job. Doubts about her own decisions, love troubles and the weight of her family relationships prevent her from keeping a cool head and creating the necessary distance from the investigation. As the backdrop of sleepy Lerviken gradually disintegrates, Harriet becomes entangled in a strange web of local relationships, at the end of which the killer himself must be hiding. Could he really be murdering someone he knows?

Look How She Dies is the first book in a new crime series set in southern Sweden, featuring a sympathetically imperfect investigator in the style of Bridget Jones. The seemingly simple story quickly gathers momentum and briskly leads to a shocking conclusion.
