We, the firefighters

This book will take you to a place most people only see in the worst moments of their lives. Seven interviews with Prague firefighters reveal what goes on behind the scenes of their work on the streets of the capital and on elite missions abroad. It is a candid chronicle of the people who guard Prague Castle and search through the rubble of cities after disasters. They talk about professional honour, fear, camaraderie, the goulash in the station kitchen, and the hope that lasts for the “golden hundred hours”. It offers inspiration on how we can all handle things better ourselves, before everything goes up in flames.
