Webster Ben: Ben Webster Meets Oscar Peterson LTD

LP Record Ben Webster often said that his favourite accompanist was the pianist Oscar Peterson. This 1959 album was their last studio collaboration and is one of their finest. Webster frequently travelled to Europe and eventually lived in Holland. In fact, there are no other known recordings of them together before their last surviving collaboration – a 1972 concert in Hanover, Germany, recorded shortly before the saxophonist's death.
