Werich Jan: About the Yellow Man - CD

Werich' s little-known fairy tale About the Yellow Man was included in the book Lincoln 1933, which was published in 1970 and - with a few exceptions - no longer reached readers. Almost the entire cargo was destroyed.

A similar fate befell the sound recording of a fairy tale. Although the author read it for Supraphon in 1968, it was not released on CD until 1999, when Stella Zázvorková took part in its interpretation. Werich' s performance of “Yellow Man“ reached the audience only on this album. It is characterized by all the advantages of Jan Werich' s literary texts and his unique and distinctive interpretation!
