Werich Jan: Jan Werich (un) known - CD

In our selection of sound recordings with Jan Werich, we present little-known or almost completely unknown recordings from the 1960s, when Werich finished his work in the theater. Many of the films created with Jan Werich at that time have already reached their immortal fame, yet we still find jewels in the archive that only experts talk about and some of them don' t even know. So the monologues of Werich' s favorite enjoyer Falstaff and the anecdotic scene of Vavřína, in which Werich' s partner Jiřina Šejbalová and Jana Werichová, have never been released on CD.

Jan Werich and Miroslav Horníček, very popular culinary performances of Cooking in the Kitchen, were given a lot of choice in their time. Both gentlemen cooked humorously, but they interspersed the recipes as if by accident, even with very bold glosses, which ironized the social events of the time. Another surprise for many will be an excerpt from reading the ancient adventure novel About the Faithful Love of the Brave Chair. Werich did not forgive the nipples, the thoughts and the thoughts with which he masterfully commented on the work performed and gave it a more general validity. In conclusion, Werich reads a text by the Chinese thinker Lao-tzu about Taoism.
