What you should know about breast cancer

The monograph is intended to educate the general public. It informs the public (both healthy and sick) in an accessible way about various aspects of breast cancer, the latest trends in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. It explains the possible side effects of early and late treatment and how to prevent or mitigate them. Treatment results and reasons for long-term, practically lifelong follow-up are also presented. The main author and co-authors are experienced oncologists and radiotherapists from various departments across the Czech Republic, who base the book on their many years of experience with the treatment and oncological care of patients in our population. They know from practice that patients come to the doctor's office uninformed and often do not even know what to ask the doctor. No similar popular science monograph has been available on our market so far. It can be recommended not only to all women, but also to men - potential partners of sick women. The publication is complemented by the words of a lawyer concerning patients' rights.
