"...when I promised!"

Luděk Munzar, an outstanding Czech actor, also made his first appearance as a writer in 1998. Autobiographical book "...when I promised! " follows the story of a boy who looks enchanted at the sky and whispers to his father: "I'm going to be a pilot. " He repeats the promise he made to his father at the bedside of his sick friend in his manhood and subordinates the course of his life to that promise.

The book, which Luděk Munzar wrote for Czech Radio in 2017, is far from being just about a promise made and the agonizing journey to its fulfilment. It is above all about human desire, honour and character, and also about love, the power of friendship and great human passion.
