Who's Haunting the Tower?

In the small Central Bohemian town of Brod, local elections are approaching, and it seems nothing can disrupt them. But the arrival of a new teacher, Jakub Stehlík, uncovers many shadows from the past.

Who was responsible for Jakub's mother's death? What does Mayor Jaroslav Jiroušek have to do with it? Who in Brod benefits from this act not being forgotten? How does the family of the bakery owner, Mrs Řábková, fit into all of this? What does a rabbit's foot in a trumpet case signify, and what secrets does the allotment colony on the outskirts of town hide? And what is the opposition, led by Ivo Podroužek, willing to do to succeed?

Teacher Josefína Divíšková tries to get to the bottom of events that happened in Brod more than thirty years ago, and in doing so, help right old wrongs. She must rely on her wit and ability to handle everything with humour, as well as on the eccentric Inspector Tvrdík.
