Lena Vranská has successfully passed her university entrance exams and after graduating, she leaves for Italy to work as an au pair during the holidays. She loves Italy, especially after meeting a young, attractive medical student with whom she spends her free time. However, shortly after arriving in Venice, she discovers she is pregnant. She knows very well that the child belongs to her ex-boyfriend, Ivan, but decides not to admit it to anyone. Instead, she lets her Italian boyfriend, Alessio, believe the baby is his. But life with a jealous and possessive Italian is no walk in the park. Lena doesn't dare leave her husband, because according to local laws, she could lose her daughter.
