Wild Bill: Platinum Collection (3x CD) - CD

The Platinum Collection includes all the hits and a cross-section of every studio album Divokej Bill has ever released. This 3CD collection was compiled by the band itself, who divided the songs onto the individual albums as follows: CD1 Singles, CD2 Ballads, and CD3 Rockers. The triple album is therefore a fully representative selection of their work to date. “It’s not hard to fall under Divokej Bill’s spell. There is always something masculine and sincere present in them. A willingness to reach into the depths of one's own soul and not be ashamed of what one finds there, even if it is just a vague fear and pain. The will to fight one's own desolation, the desire for inner freedom. Divokej Bill gives all of this in handfuls on their records and at their concerts. For themselves and for their listeners,” concludes J. Vlček in the sleeve notes.

Divokej Bill was formed in 1998 and made a significant mark on the Czech rock scene right from their first album, Propustka do pekel (A Pass to Hell). “The fast-maturing band gave the original Celtic-folk springboard another dimension through the personalities of its members. Divokej Bill was far from being as boisterous as those who inspired them. On the contrary, with each recording, the lyrical, often melancholic, dimension grew stronger. Instead of the clinking of pint glasses, fragile motifs of pain entered their songs. At a time when ballads, let alone tender love songs, were taboo for Czech rockers, Divokej Bill made them their trademark,” says music journalist Josef Vlček, highlighting the band's strengths in the sleeve notes. Further strong albums earned Divokej Bill numerous awards in many competitions and popularity polls, including winning the Český slavík (Czech Nightingale) in 2006.
