A true story of women who went through hell in concentration camps
The true story of women who went through hell in concentration camps. The main character, María, a historian and journalist battling alcoholism, finds a box full of old photographs after her grandmother's death and stumbles upon family secrets that won't let her sleep. She visits her grandmother's friend, Isadora, who gradually tells her a long story. María learns what brought their families together during the Spanish Civil War and what later tore them apart after the end of the Second World War. She discovers why her grandmother's and Isadora's paths diverged and hears the terrifying story of how Isadora became one of the prostitutes in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. It is a story full of inhuman physical and psychological suffering, tears, fear, and unimaginable horror, but it is also a story of friendship, resistance, and solidarity that will leave no one indifferent.
