The protagonist Carag is not just an ordinary boy. He was born a cougar in the North American forests of Wyoming and spent his first eleven years with his family. Since he was a little boy, he and his whole family have a very special ability - he can transform into a human. But Carag decides to leave his home and live among humans as Jay, a mysterious boy who has lost his memory. He tries to adapt to human life, until he stumbles upon Lisa Clearwater High School for Special Children. There he can finally learn to live in both forms and learn more. Together with his new friends, he is in for some wondrous adventures.

Katja Brandis

Katja Brandis, class of 1970, studied American Studies, English and German and worked as a journalist. Even at school, her classmates borrowed manuscripts from her when they needed something new to read. She has published numerous children's novels, such as Gepardensommer (Cheetah Summer. ) Floaters - Im Sog des Meeres (Floating - In the Swirl of the Sea), or Ruf der Tiefe (Call of the Deep) While researching for Woodwalkers books in Yellowstone National Park, she personally met many bison, almost tripped over a sleeping moose, and was allowed to bottle feed a baby Barbary bear. She lives near Munich with her husband, son and three cats, one of which looks a bit like a cougar.

Ondřej Malý

Ondřej Malý was born and works in Ostrava. Although the coincidence of the name with the somewhat older and more famous actor Ondřej Malý, winner of the Czech Lion, is purely coincidental, he has coincidentally embarked on the same - that is, acting career. Ondřej Malý graduated from the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. In his fifth year, however, he received an offer from Divadlo Na Fidlovačce, where he subsequently spent a year and a half. You may know him from the film Fredy and Goldilocks, The Last of Aporver or the series Gymplíz, broadcast on Czech TV. In some performances he is involved as an author (e.g. Squat), in others he plays his role as a professional actor (DONAHA! (Hole asses), Drunk). He also appeared at the Shakespeare Festival. He is currently a guest at theatres in Ostrava and at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, but he is not planning to leave Ostrava just yet.
