Wounded Hearts - DVD

Post-war Germany, 1946. Rachael Morgan (Keira Knightley) arrives in the ruins of a bombed-out Hamburg to reunite with her husband Lewis (Jason Clarke), a British colonel tasked with rebuilding the devastated city, still reeling from chaos and despair.
As they head to their new home, Rachael is unpleasantly surprised by an unexpected decision Lewis has made – they will be sharing the house with its previous German owner, Stefan Lubert (Alexander Skarsgard), and his teenage daughter Freda (Flora Thiemann).
Rachael, who lost her son during the German bombing of London, finds the idea of living with her recent enemy unthinkable. A palpable tension arises between her and Stefan. When she discovers that he too suffered a great personal loss during the war, her attitude begins to change. And the duty-bound Lewis realises all too late that her initial rejection and grief have given way to passion and betrayal.
