Young Fathers: Heavy Heavy Ltd Clr

LP Record Young Fathers – Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole and G. Hastings – are releasing their long-awaited new album, "Heavy Heavy", in 2023. This ten-track project signals a return to basics, recorded without external producers in a small home studio with just a few instruments and microphones: everything always plugged in, everything always within reach. Alloysious writes about the album: "Every album has to be better than the last one. That's our mentality. If it wasn't better, it wouldn't be released." For him, this album isn't really about the ten songs on the tracklist. It's about what happened to the trio in the long, crazy years since the release of "Cocoa Sugar". "Heavy Heavy" is a testament to what remains from that time. A story of triumphant survival, of an abundance of existence.
