Young Neil: After The Gold Rush (50th Anniversary) - CD
Annual reissue of the third solo album by Canadian rock musician Neil Young. The album was released in 1970 and is one of four solo acts released by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young at the same time as their joint album Déja Vu was a great commercial success. Gold Rush is a predominantly folk and country tuned album, with the exception of the rock song Southern Man. After the Gold Rush climbed to eighth on the Billboard Top Pop Albums. Two songs from the album were used as singles: Only Love Can Break Your Heart a When You Dance I Can Really Love. The first of them placed 33rd and the second 93rd in the Billboard Hot 100.
Neil Young is a key figure in more than just American rock history. An inventive guitarist, composer, singer and today also an entrepreneur in the music industry has inspired a number of followers. He has performed in the bands Shadows and Buffalo Springfiled, in the group Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, but above all, he became famous as a solo musician. He is described as one of the greatest rock' n' roll performers and the most respected guitarists.
