Zagorová, Hana: O Lásce - CD

In the year of her significant life anniversary, Hana Zagorová is releasing a new studio album, which primarily features songs by young composers.

This stalwart of our pop music scene was offered songs by artists such as Radůza, Martin Chodúr, Michal Hrůza, and Ondřej Brzobohatý, as well as Márdi from the band Vypsaná fixa, Jiří Hradil from Tata Bojs, David Dvořák from Kašpárek v rohlíku, and also the frontman of the band Sunflower Caravan, Andy Čermák. Several songs were also contributed by established authors like composers Jiří Zmožek, Petr Malásek, and Jiří Březík, and lyricists Jan Krůta and Václav Kopta. The thirteen songs include chansons, pop songs, and even a czardas, as well as elements of klezmer and film music.

This is Hana Zagorová as her listeners love her: a welcome variety of song moods, a feel for strong melodies and carefully built-up choruses, and a gift for understated drama in her vocal performance. It's wonderful that each of these songs is clearly dedicated specifically to her: no generic 'off-the-shelf' tracks, but concrete compositions for this unique singer.
