Zich Karel: Parade / Golden Collection (3x CD) - CD

This year' s late Zich anniversaries (1949 - 2004) are musically sad by what he didn' t have time to sing, but also by the pleasure of what he managed! This trio held 66 interesting recordings, including those available for the first time since the days of good old vinyl.

Disc 1 is dedicated to Elvis et al., A style in which Karel Zich was undoubtedly extraordinary in our country. Compiler Miloš Skalka, the former head of Presley' s Czechoslovak Official Fan Club, chose the famous and most famous songs, partly sung in Czech, partly in the original language. Zich' s elegant and masterfully phrasing baritone coped well with songs from It' s Fine, Mom via Hound Dog or Love Me Tender to Ghetto, recorded between 1973 and 2004.

The second disc brings his greatest hits. From Alice in Wonderland to Do you have a taste of marjoram, She had glasses on her eyes or House no. 5 after Parade, it is a show of deserved popularity, especially in the seventies and eighties. The last CD is then dedicated to duets and multi-headed vocals, to the famous type Bridges with Lenka Filipová, but also still rather overlooked in CDs, for example with Jitka Zelenková, Pavel Bobek, Petrou Janů, Vladka Pracharova or Wanda Jackson.

This compilation presents Karla Zicha in a welcome comprehensive form, in addition to an extraordinary share of songs that have not been heard for a long time or have been released for the first time, see for example four surprising radio recordings, including V + W. Booklet with biographical and repertoire note M. Skalky completes the set to a fundamental item in Zich' s discography.

Definitive compilation of all hits and discovered memories!
