The MIO MiVue 945W car camera records what's happening in front of the vehicle while driving and when parked. The device records video footage of road traffic for potential evidence in the event of traffic accidents or disputed situations. The device's optical system captures a wide 140° viewing angle and saves the captured files to an inserted micro SD, micro SDHC, or micro SDXC memory card. The device is powered by a built-in capacitor, which replaces a standard battery.

High Resolution
Ultra HD 4K resolution (4096 × 2160) provides four times the pixel density of standard Full HD resolution. This allows the driver to recognise even small details on the recording, such as the registration plates of distant vehicles or pedestrians' faces. The optics with an f/1.8 lens aperture let enough light through to the 8.4Mpx sensor. The device supports recording at a maximum resolution of 30 FPS. The camera saves files in MP4 video format with H.265 encoding.
Sony STARVIS 2 Optical Sensor
The Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 optical sensor improves image quality in low-light conditions and at night. The technology optimises the brightness and colour rendering of the recorded video. The camera adjusts the exposure to capture sharp details even on unlit roads outside the city. The sensor helps prevent overexposed or underexposed shots during rapid changes in light, such as when exiting a tunnel.
Wireless Connectivity
The integrated Wi-Fi interface is used to connect the device to a smartphone. Users can watch a live feed, change settings, or download recorded footage without using any cables. Firmware and speed camera database updates are carried out wirelessly via the mobile app directly in the vehicle. The GPS wireless interface simultaneously records the driving coordinates and vehicle speed. This data then accompanies the video recording and serves as additional evidence when dealing with traffic situations.
Average Speed Camera Alert
The built-in GPS module tracks the vehicle's position and compares it with a speed camera database. The system calculates the remaining time, distance, and average speed in the measured section. This information helps the driver to adhere to the prescribed speed limits on the roads. The device alerts you to approaching speed cameras in advance. The GPS warning function does not work in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Turkey, in accordance with local legislative restrictions.
Parking Mode
On-Demand parking mode starts recording when an impact is detected on a parked vehicle. The included Hardwire Kit is used to activate this function. The surveillance parameters can be adjusted directly in the car camera's menu without needing to connect any additional accessories. This gives the user control over the security of their parked car for the entire time it is stationary. The system does not support use in vehicles with a 24V supply.
Capacitor and G-Sensor
Power from a supercapacitor replaces conventional batteries and withstands large temperature fluctuations inside the car. The integrated three-axis G-sensor registers sudden changes in direction or impacts. In the event of a collision, the sensor locks the current video recording to prevent it from being accidentally overwritten by the next loop. The camera also supports the connection of the MiVue E40 and MiVue E80D rear cameras, which are supplied separately by the manufacturer. The video's audio is provided by an integrated microphone with mono sound.
