About Shiitake
The shiitake (Lentinula edodes, the mushroom fungus) belongs to the disease-causing woody fungi and is a truly fascinating natural phenomenon. It has a long history of use, going back thousands of years, especially in China and Japan. Japanese writings state that the Kyusuya tribe brought Shiitake as a gift to the Japanese emperor. Often referred to as the "queen of mushrooms" or "elixir of life", Shiitake is rich in essential amino acids, minerals, B vitamins, provitamin D2 and many other bioactive substances. According to traditional Chinese medicine, it supports the center of the human being, i.e. digestion, which is controlled by the Pi (Spleen) system. This system is responsible for the production of Qi energy and blood, which are the basis of a person's vitality and immunity. Shiitake also has a tropism for Fei (Lungs), which means that it helps prepare the body to clash with external pathogens. MycoMedica Shiitake is grown on a substrate consisting of a mixture of sawdust, organic wheat bran, cane sugar and natural gypsum, which guarantees its high quality and effectiveness.

Recommended dosage

Increased dose:
3-10 capsules per day
It is advisable to consult a doctor or practitioner of Chinese medicine. Take the capsules on an empty stomach (min. 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after a meal), with water or weak green tea. In children, the dosage is reduced in proportion to age. It is recommended to take it 5 days a week and skip 2 days. When taking vital mushrooms, it is recommended to increase the intake of vitamin C, which increases the absorption of active substances. For example, in the form of an extract of the Brazilian Acerola cherry.
