About Cordyceps
Cordyceps (Chinese caterpillar, Cordyceps sinensis) was one of the most valuable mushrooms used in ancient China and Tibet to harmonize the mind and body. This alien mushroom is a rich source of beta-glucans, minerals, trace elements and vitamins. Its power has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese and Tibetan medicine. There are stories that describe how yak herders have observed a change in the animals if they grazed Cordyceps. The animals were more vital, stronger, healthier and more potent. Written records of Cordyceps can then be traced back to 620 AD. l. Cordyceps has been known to the Western world since 1726, when it was introduced at a mycological conference in Paris. At that time, however, the Western world had no idea of the effects of Cordyceps. However, this changed, albeit much later, thanks to the fact that in 1964 Cordyceps was officially listed as a herbal medicine in Chinese pharmacology. From the perspective of Chinese medicine, it strengthens Yang and the essence of Ledvin and Yin Plic. In the Kidneys is stored the source of all our energy, therefore the caterpillar or Cordyceps is the most powerful "recharger" of vital mushrooms. According to Chinese medicine, the kidneys are also responsible for reproduction and libido. Thanks to this, Cordyceps is able to support libido. It is also an excellent adaptogen that helps us adapt to the ever-changing environment and keep our body in harmony. Cordyceps is often taken by athletes because it can improve performance and recovery. Cordyceps grows at altitudes above about 3,500 metres, but it is hardly found in the wild anymore. Apparently, in the last 25 years, the incidence has dropped by 90%, which of course has increased its value on the market, which is why this mushroom is now cultivated. We grow our Cordyceps by controlled cultivation on a nutrient solution based on cane sugar, crushed yellow beans, glucose, peptones to grow Cordyceps mycelia. The part of the fungus used is the mycelium or mycelium of the liquid culture.
