Why take folic acid?
Folic acid has an irreplaceable function in the metabolism of amino acids and nucleic acids, which carry hereditary information. Therefore, folic acid is essential for cell division. Adequate intake of folic acid is therefore particularly important during pregnancy, when the formation of nucleic acids, proteins and the growth of germ tissues is intensive. There is also an increased need for folic acid during breastfeeding, as sufficient folic acid intake through breast milk supports the growth of the baby. Folic acid also contributes to normal blood formation.
Active ingredients of the food supplement NATURVITA Folic Acid Super
- Vitamin B12 is closely linked to folic acid metabolism. Like folic acid, vitamin B12 is involved in cell division and contributes to the normal production of red blood cells.
- Together, Vitamin B12 and folic acid contribute to normal immune function and reduce fatigue and exhaustion, which is especially important during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
