NiQuitin CLEAR are smoking cessation products by replacing the nicotine you are used to from cigarettes. Smoking addiction is caused by the nicotine in cigarettes. This type of treatment is called Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). NiQuitin CLEAR is a soft rectangular transparent multilayer patch with rounded corners. It contains nicotine, which is evenly dispersed in the patch and is gradually released from the patch in a certain amount that is absorbed by the skin. The amount of nicotine released from the patch is lower than the amount from cigarettes. The NiQuitin CLEAR patch relieves cravings for smoking and eliminates unpleasant symptoms of smoking cessation (such as irritability, frustration, anger, anxiety, restlessness and impaired concentration). This helps you resist the urge to smoke. They are used as part of a rehab treatment. Because NiQuitin CLEAR does not contain tar or carbon monoxide from cigarette smoke, it does not have the health risks of tobacco smoking.

NiQuitin Clear is a transparent transdermal patch. As soon as you stick it on, the nicotine starts to be released from it and absorbed into your body through your skin. This nicotine will help you relieve both cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The NiQuitin Clear transdermal patch is the only patch with optimal nicotine release for 24 hours technology, allowing you to fight nicotine deficiency all day long. NiQuitin Clear products are designed for your specific needs. Quitting smoking is divided into several stages depending on how many cigarettes you normally smoke in a day. You can set your own quit plan accordingly. The following diagram describes the different stages of quitting according to your current cigarette consumption.
Dosage and method of use
Adults use 1 patch per day. The pack will last for a week. The patch is simply stuck to a clean dry spot on the skin. A new patch is applied once a day at the same time, preferably shortly after waking up, and left in place for 24 hours. Always choose a different place on the skin to apply the new patch. The patch is put on the same place in 7 days at the earliest. If it suits you, you can remove the patch before going to bed (after about 16 hours) and apply a new patch when you wake up. However, removing the patch after 16 hours reduces the effect of the patch on the desire to smoke after waking.
Contraindications
Do not use NiQuitin CLEAR if you are allergic to nicotine or any of the other ingredients in this product, if you are a non-smoker or occasional smoker. If you are under 18 years of age.
Notice
Consult your physician before using NiQuitin CLEAR in the following cases:
- In inflammatory or other skin diseases
- For heart or circulatory diseases and high blood pressure
- After a stroke
- In moderate to severe hepatic and/or severe renal impairment
- In gastric or duodenal ulcer or with increased thyroid function
- If you have diabetes, you should check your blood sugar more often than usual when you start treatment with nicotine patches. Your need for insulin or medicines to treat your diabetes may change
- In adrenal tumour (pheochromocytoma)
- If you are in hospital because of a heart attack (myocardial infarction), unstable or worsening angina, severe heart rhythm disturbance or stroke, you should try to quit smoking without using nicotine replacement therapy, unless the doctor tells you to, that you can use it, after discharge from hospital, you can use nicotine replacement therapy as usual
- If skin redness, swelling or rash occurs, stop using nicotine patches and contact a doctor
- If you have skin inflammation, you may have an allergic reaction to the patch
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Stomach or duodenal ulcer or inflammation of the oral cavity, oesophagus, pharynx or stomach, as nicotine replacement therapy may worsen the symptoms of these conditions
Storage
Store at temperatures up to 30 °C. Keep the patches in their protective bags in the box until you want to change them. Store them in a safe place. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use plasters that are in a damaged or open bag. Slight yellowing of the sticky side of the patch is normal. The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
