Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM chromax. black

Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM chromax. black
The Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM chromax.black is a PC fan designed to cool components that require high static pressure. This quiet PWM fan uses advanced aerodynamic features and an impeller made from Sterrox LCP material to achieve a high performance-to-noise ratio. The all-black chromax.black design of the fan is complemented by integrated anti-vibration pads and accessories in the same colour, contributing to a unified build aesthetic. Speed is controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector over a wide range from 0 to 1500rpm, including the option to completely stop the fan under low loads.
Key features of the Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM chromax.black PC fan
- Sterrox LCP impeller reduces resonance
- etaPERF motor with SupraTorque technology maintains constant performance
- Extremely small tip clearance between the blade and the frame
- SSO2 bearing with a metal shell for increased stability and precision
- Wide speed range with PWM control for flexible adjustment
- Fan stops at 0% PWM signal, ensuring silent operation when idle
- All-black chromax.black edition includes the fan and accessories
Advanced aerodynamics and Sterrox material
The nine-blade impeller design applies progressive bending which, combined with the centrifugal turbulator hub, pushes air towards the more efficient outer areas of the blades. The blades are made from Sterrox LCP liquid crystal polymer, which has high tensile strength and damping properties that reduce vibrations. Performance against back pressure is enhanced by an ultra-tight tip clearance between the blades and the frame, which limits flow losses.
Powerful motor and PWM control
The fan is powered by a low electrical impedance etaPERF motor and the NE-FD6 PWM driver IC. This allows the fan to efficiently convert electrical input into mechanical power. The applied SupraTorque technology maintains a constant speed even as air resistance increases, for example when used on dense radiator fins. PWM regulation allows for automatic speed control by the motherboard and supports a complete fan stop at a 0% PWM signal.
SSO2 bearing and anti-vibration features
Smooth operation is handled by the second-generation self-stabilising oil-pressure bearing (SSO2). Its rear magnet is placed closer to the rotor axis, which improves stabilisation, precision, and durability. The bearing is housed in a CNC-milled brass casing, which contributes to long-term stability. This design ensures high precision and durability. Vibrations transmitted to the case are limited by soft silicone pads that are part of the fan frame.
All-black chromax.black design of the Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fan
The chromax.black edition offers a unified look across all fan components, from the frame and impeller to the anti-vibration pads, mounting hardware, and cables. The package includes a set of accessories for various usage scenarios, including a Low-Noise Adaptor (LNA) to reduce the speed to 1250rpm, a 30cm extension cable, and a Y-splitter for connecting a second fan to a single header. All components feature an all-black finish.
