The Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition processor cooler dissipates heat from processors in computer cases with limited space. This cooler uses a passive metal section connected to four heat pipes and one 92mm fan. Its low-profile 66mm design fits into compact computer builds, especially Louqe Ghost S1 cases. The air cooling system features automatic speed control, ranging from 0 to 1600 RPM. The cooler's fins extend over the RAM area, but its lower section provides space for memory modules up to 48mm in height. Construction
The passive part of the cooler consists of aluminium fins that are firmly connected to the copper heat pipes by soldering. This connection method prevents the contacts from loosening due to the thermal expansion of metals after years of operation. The soldered joints maintain stable heat transfer throughout the cooler's lifespan. The design offers high resistance to the thermal cycles typical of gaming and workstations.
Mounting system
The SecuFirm2 mounting system secures the cooler to the motherboard, supporting a wide range of modern processor sockets. The system is compatible with Intel sockets 115x, 1200, 1700, 1851, and 1954, as well as AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets. The mounting system ensures precise contact pressure between the cooler and the processor's integrated heat spreader and enables easy installation.
NT-H2 thermal compound
Included in the package is the second-generation NT-H2 thermal compound, which fills the micro-cracks between the cooler base and the processor. This compound exhibits low thermal resistance and contributes to more efficient heat transfer to the passive section. It works reliably immediately after application and retains its properties for a long time without drying out.
