The Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM is an ultra wide-angle lens for serious applications. Plus it’s easy to hold and carry at 405g. A floating rear focusing system gives sharp images at all subject distances and an ultrasonic motor (USM) enables fast, smooth and quiet autofocus. Full-time manual focus override allows for precise manual focus even when in AF mode. A ring-type ultrasonic motor drives autofocus extremely quickly, and in near silence. Excellent holding torque ensures the point of focus is reached accurately, without overshooting. For optimum visual performance, the lens incorporates aspherical elements, to correct spherical aberrations, and Super UD (ultra-low dispersion) elements to eliminate chromatic aberrations. The result is crisp, high-contrast undistorted image quality all the way across the frame.
