Octenisept is used repeatedly to kill bacteria and prevent infections caused by pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi to promote wound healing processes. Octenisept can be used on both intact and injured skin, mucous membranes and their adjacent area for a maximum of 14 days.
Dosage and method of use
Unless otherwise prescribed, Octenisept is applied to the surface to be treated using a swab dipped in the product, so that the entire area is moistened. Octenisept can be applied to hard-to-reach areas using a spray bottle. However, we prefer to apply it with a tampon. In all cases, a time interval of 1 to 2 minutes must be observed between the application and the next procedure.
Sufficient effectiveness is guaranteed only for 2 hours after the application of Octenisept. These instructions must be carefully followed to achieve the desired effect. For now, there is experience only with use that did not exceed 14 days, so Octenisept should only be used for a limited period of time. To prevent tissue damage, the product must not be injected into tissue under pressure. Drainage must be provided from the wound cavities (e.g. with a suitable flexible drain).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the medicinal substances or to any excipient. Octenisept must not be applied directly to the eyes. Octenisept must not be used for intraoperative lavage of the abdominal cavity and bladder. It cannot be applied to the eardrum either.
Studies of Octenisept in infants and children under 12 years of age confirm good efficacy, tolerability and safety of the product. Based on the available data for both children and adults, the use of the product may also be recommended for adolescents. Octenisept should not be used in the breast area when breastfeeding. Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Protect from frost. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging as "Use by". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated.
