HERCAMPURI inflorescence is a small herb growing mostly in clusters. It is a species of alpine gentian. The herb has been used for centuries in the traditional ethnomedicine of the Andean region for its constituents. Its name, Hercampuri, comes from the original Hjircan Pureck of the Quechua language and literally means "one who walks", figuratively expressing the healers who in ancient times went around to each village bringing with them medicinal herbs.
