Orofar Forte honey and lemon, 24 pastilles
Orofar Forte honey and lemon treats inflammation in the oral cavity and pharynx. It contains the antiseptic ingredients amylmethacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol as well as the anaesthetic ingredient lidocaine. Thanks to the higher concentration of lidocaine it quickly relieves pain in the throat and oral cavity. On the recommendation of a doctor, the preparation can be used for sore throat after removal of the tonsils.

Dosage and method of taking Orofar Forte
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age take 1 lozenge every 2 to 3 hours, as needed
- However, a maximum of 8 traps per day
- Allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth
- Do not take before eating and drinking
- Do not take for more than 5 days.
- If you do not feel better within 3 days, consult your doctor for further use.
Ingredients
The active substances are amylmetacresol 0.60 mg, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.20 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 2.00 mg in one lozenge. The excipients are peppermint essential oil, quinoline yellow (E 104), saccharin sodium dihydrate (E 954), tartaric acid (E 334), sucrose, liquid glucose, SY orange yellow (E 110), lemon flavour (contains citral), liquid honey aroma.
Contraindications
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before using this product. Administration of this product is not recommended in pregnancy. Risk to breastfed newborns/infants cannot be excluded. Therefore, this product should not be administered during the breastfeeding period. No data are available on the effect of lidocaine, amylmethacresol and dichlorobenzyl alcohol on male or female fertility. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any medicines you are taking, have recently taken or may be taking.
Notice
Consult your physician regarding the use of this medication, if the sore throat is accompanied by fever, headaches, feeling sick, vomiting or skin rash, your symptoms do not improve or get worse within 3 days of treatment, you have large acute wounds in the mouth or throat (in this case, Orofar Forte should not be used). Sensitive persons may experience a strange sensation in the mouth due to the local numbing effect. The anesthetic in this medicine may cause inhalation of a foreign object while eating (coughing while eating or choking). Never consume any food immediately after using this product. This medication may cause numbness of the tongue and may increase the risk of bite injuries. Therefore, increased caution is also needed when consuming hot food or hot drinks. Prolonged use of this medication (more than 5 days) is not recommended as it can disrupt the natural microbial balance in the throat area. Observe the prescribed dosage: if used in large amounts or for longer than the recommended time, it may affect the heart or nervous system and may cause convulsions. Elderly or debilitated persons are more sensitive to possible side effects and should consult a physician before using this medication. Orofar Forte contains terpenes present in levomenthol. Excessive doses of terpenes are associated with neurological complications such as convulsions in children.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and blister after the abbreviation EXP. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Store at temperatures up to 30 ºC. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
