AdTab contains the active ingredient lotilaner, overstimulating the nerve centres of fleas and ticks and killing them quickly. Extensive research has shown that this substance is well tolerated by cats, highly effective against parasites in the doses given and harmless to cats. It works both on fleas and ticks on the animal, as well as on newly attached parasites. It kills newly trapped fleas within 12 hours of attachment, and those that were already on the cat before administration within 8 hours of tablet administration. Ticks that are present on the cat prior to administration of the product will be killed within 18 hours. The product is medically assessed as safe. No interaction between lotilaner and commonly used veterinary medicines was observed during clinical trials.

If your cat catches a flea, it can infest your home faster than you know. Fleas lay eggs that drop from your cat all over the interior. The eggs hatch into larvae. The larvae pupate and eventually hatch into adult fleas, ready to bite you and your pet. Flea eggs, larvae and pupae are easily contained in bedding, carpets, bedding, upholstery and other areas throughout the home. If you are still seeing fleas on your cat despite using AdTab, it is likely that the fleas are newly hatched. Once these fleas jump on your little beastie, they will of course be eliminated after using AdTab. When a flea invasion breaks out in your home, you need to act very quickly. Regularly wash pet beds, vacuum carpets and floors, and use a spray to kill parasites outside your pet's body to eradicate fleas at every stage of their life cycle. If you keep seeing ticks on your pet, there could be several causes. Ticks can get on your cat's fur when she walks past them, even if she has been treated. The active substances act only after attachment, so they kill ticks only after they bite into the pet's skin. It is also possible to see attached but already dead ticks, especially in periods and areas of higher tick abundance.

The correct dosage of AdTab is determined by the weight of the cat

To protect your cat against fleas and ticks with AdTab, you need to choose the right size of chewable tablets. For cats with a body weight greater than 8 kg, use an appropriate combination of tablets to achieve the recommended dose of 6-24 mg lotilaner/kg live weight.
