ALAVIS™ Hemagel 5 g

ALAVIS™ Hemagel 5 g
A unique hydrophilic gel that shortens the healing time for both minor injuries and larger chronic wounds. Suitable for large and small domestic and exotic animals. ALAVIS Hemagel provides easy and quick wound care with immediate relief. It heals both minor injuries and larger chronic wounds. The product’s unique composition enables it to chemically bind oxygen radicals that form during inflammatory processes, accelerates the wound healing process, reduces the risk of complicated healing, and alleviates pain in the wound. It creates a surface layer that acts as a second skin, thereby helping to protect against external influences and creating a favorable environment for the healing of both acute and chronic wounds (e.g., postoperative and other skin injuries). A moist environment during wound treatment is a modern and fundamental principle of care. Stable moisture in the wound prevents scab formation and thus helps accelerate the healing process.

Directions for Use
Clean the wound of mechanical debris, such as dust particles or residues of previous dressings, which could subsequently irritate or damage the wound. Open the tube by piercing it with the cap. Apply a small amount of gel to the entire wound bed. The gel adheres to the wound bed and gradually absorbs secretions and other fluids from the wound. Apply the gel as needed, at least once every 24 hours. For better results, it is recommended to cover the wound with a sterile square, preferably made of non-woven fabric. The dressing should extend approximately 1cm beyond the edge of the wound. Change the dressing as needed, but no later than every 24 hours, until the problem resolves. For infected wounds, we recommend more frequent dressing changes. Application of the gel does not replace the administration of antibiotics for severely infected wounds. The gel’s effect is indicated by swelling. The gel’s unique technology prevents it from sticking to the wound, allowing for very easy and painless removal by gently wiping it away. Follow your veterinarian’s recommendations.
