The unique composition of the product allows to chemically bind oxygen radicals that are formed during inflammatory processes, accelerates the wound healing process, reduces the risk of complicated healing and suppresses pain in the wound. It forms a surface layer that acts as a second skin, which helps protect against external influences and creates a favourable environment for healing both acute and chronic wounds (e.g. post-operative and other skin damage). The wet environment in wound care is both a modern and a fundamental essence of wound care. Stable moisture in the wound prevents scab formation and thus helps to speed up the healing process. Active ingredients
- ALAVIS™ Hemagel is a hydrophilic methacrylate gel based on a cross-linked copolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate containing polymer-bonded sterically hindered amino groups, developed by the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the CAS.
Method of use
- Clean the wound of mechanical debris, e.g. dust particles, residue from previous treatment materials that could subsequently irritate and damage the wound
- Open the tube with the twist-on cap
- Apply a small amount of gel to the entire base of the wound. The gel adheres to the base of the wound and gradually absorbs secretions and other fluids from the wound
- Apply the gel as needed at least once every 24 hours
- After higher effect it is advisable to cover the wound with a sterile square preferably made of non-woven fabric. Fixation materials should extend approximately 1 cm over the wound edge. Perform dressings as needed after no more than 24 hours until the problem has resolved. We recommend more frequent dressing changes for infected wounds
- Application of the gel does not replace the administration of antibiotics in heavily infected wounds
- The effect of the gel is manifested by swelling. Unique gel technology prevents sticking to the wound and thus allows very easy removal without pain by gentle wiping

Notice
The product is autosterile - it can be used for the entire shelf life after opening. No side effects such as allergies, increased pain, etc., or other contraindications have been described with ALAVIS™ Hemagel. The product must not be used after the expiry date marked on the tube. In case of side effects (increased soreness, redness, etc. ), discontinue treatment and consult your veterinarian. The product is not intended for internal use. FOR ANIMALS ONLY!
