Active ingredients
Active ingredients in 1 capsule: L-choline 124 mg, L-methionine 100 mg, Silybin (milk thistle extract) 24 mg.
- L-methionine is used for the synthesis of SAM (S-adenosyl methionine), which is involved in the formation of glutathione, a very important antioxidant. This means that it prevents damage to important cellular components by reactive oxygen radicals, especially in liver cells, and is therefore of great importance in their protection. Glutathione is also of great importance for metabolic and biochemical reactions, e.g. DNA, protein, prostaglandin, amino acid synthesis, enzyme activation. It also affects the immune, nervous and gastrointestinal systems, as well as the lungs. It is critical in iron metabolism and function, is involved in the synthesis of leukotrienes and is a cofactor for the enzyme glutathione peroxidase.
- Silybin from milk thistle has been known and used for many years for its hepatoprotective effect, i.e. protects liver cells (hepatocytes). It prevents the breakdown of hepatocytes and helps regenerate damaged cell membranes.
- Choline has a lipotropic effect, it is involved in the utilization of fats and cholesterol. In the form of phosphatidylcholine, it prevents the accumulation of cholesterol and fat in the body and contributes to liver protection or promotes liver healing. Together with methionine, it provides transport of fats into cells. Choline produces acetylcholine, which is the main carrier of nerve impulses to the brain

Recommended dosage and method of use
The capsules are administered daily according to the recommended dosage into the animal's mouth or with a small piece of food. The capsule can be split and the contents mixed with water or a small piece of food. Administer the product at least 60 minutes before meals. For acute liver inflammation or pancreatitis, administer ALAVIS™ SAMMY daily for 1-3 months, for chronic liver problems, administer daily for 2-3 months, and for high-risk patients or those with significant liver damage, administer twice weekly for 1-3 months on a long-term basis.
