Indications and use
Target animal species: males (small and medium size). Treatment of mixed infections caused by roundworms and flatworms in adult dogs and puppies:
Coughs: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and near-adult stages)
Bagmen: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults)
Template:Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum
Contraindications
Do not co-administer with piperazine-containing products. Do not exceed the recommended dose when treating pregnant females. Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to the medicinal substance or to any of the excipients of this product. Do not use in dogs less than 2 weeks old and/or weighing less than 2 kg.
Dosage
Oral administration. The tablets can be given directly to the dog or disguised in the food. Food restrictions are not necessary either before or after administration. The recommended dose is 15 mg of febantel, 14.4 mg of pyrantel and 5 mg of praziquantel per 1 kg live. hm., i.e. 1 tablet per 10 kg live weight. hm. Tablets can be halved/quartered to achieve the exact dose. To ensure the correct dose, the live weight must be determined as accurately as possible. Puppies can be wormed with this product from 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks until 12 weeks of age. Thereafter, it should be treated at 3-month intervals. It is advisable to treat the bitch at the same time as the puppies. To suppress roundworms, the bitch must be overmedicated 2 weeks after puppy litter and every 2 weeks until the puppies are weaned. A single dose at 3 monthly intervals is recommended for routine follow-up. In case of severe roundworm infection, a repeat dose should be given after 14 days.
