How often should I deworm my dog?

Use FRONTCONTROL® WORMER XL every 3 months⁽¹⁾ for regular deworming of your adult dog. It is important that you do not delay deworming and wait until you see the first signs of infection in your pet.
Regular deworming of pets is an inherent duty of a good owner who protects not only his pet, but also himself and other members of the household. How often you should deworm depends on a number of different factors. Experts recommend deworming dogs at least every 3 months⁽¹⁾. In certain cases, it may be advisable to deworm more frequently. These cases can be multi-risk situations, e.g. if your pet lives in a household with young children or immunocompromised people, or if your pet is exposed to situations with a higher risk of infection. In more complicated cases and in cases of suspected severe roundworm infestation, we recommend contacting your veterinarian who will recommend an adequate frequency for deworming your pet.

FRONTCONTROL® WORMER XL is effective against internal parasites. What product can I use to protect my dog against external parasites?

Pets are recommended to be given tasty chewable tablets FRONTPRO®, which protect against ticks and fleas. One pack offers protection for 3 months*.

How is FRONTCONTROL® WORMER XL administered?

FRONTCONTROL® Wormer XL tablets for dogs (35 kg) with pork flavour should be given directly to the dog, but can be hidden in the food if necessary. Tablets can be divided into two equal parts. Depending on the weight of the dog, deworming can be carried out in combination with FRONTCONTROL® tablets for dogs.

Do not use in pregnant bitches in the first 4 weeks of pregnancy.

Dosage

Dose according to the dosage table above every 3 months⁽¹⁾ as routine prevention.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains praziquantel 175 mg, pyrantel embonate 504 mg (equivalent to 175 mg pyrantel) and febantel 525 mg.
