INVITAL Surface Skimmer with its own pump and aeration

The INVITAL surface skimmer is a standalone device for cleaning the water surface in aquariums from 20 to 250 litres. It effectively removes oily biofilm and other floating debris, improving light penetration and gas exchange. Thanks to its own pump with a flow rate of up to 300 litres per hour, it works completely independently of external filtration. In addition to cleaning, it also offers an aeration function that enriches the water with oxygen. All this with a power consumption of just 5W.

Independent operation and easy installation

This surface skimmer works as a completely autonomous unit that you do not need to connect to an external filter. At its heart is an energy-efficient 5W pump, which provides sufficient power for effective surface cleaning. Installation is very simple – just place the device on the inner wall of the aquarium using the four included suction cups and plug it into the mains. This makes it operational in any type of tank in a matter of moments.

Smart float and safety for aquarium inhabitants

The device is equipped with a special hydromechanical float that constantly adapts to the current water level. Thanks to its balanced design, it automatically reacts to fluctuations in the water level, for example, due to evaporation, and thus prevents air from being drawn in. The intake part of the float is protected by a safety grid. Its slots are designed to let organic waste through, while mechanically preventing small fish or shrimp from entering the pump chamber.

Performance control and additional aeration

You can adjust the suction power of the float precisely to the needs of your aquarium. There is a rotary controller on the outlet that you can use to steplessly change the flow rate and thus adapt the performance to smaller tanks, where too strong a current could stir up the water. The skimmer also has an additional aeration system. Using the included hose and attachment, which work on the Venturi principle, the water stream draws in atmospheric air and mixes it with the water in the form of fine bubbles, thereby increasing the oxygen content in the tank.
