How to proceed with cleaning

The toothbrushes are available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes

Step 1: Days 1–3 Put a little Petosan toothpaste on your index finger and let your dog lick it off. Gently move your finger along the teeth and gums to get your dog used to it. Reward your dog. If your dog is happy, move on to step 2. (! Never use toothpaste designed for humans, as it can be harmful to your dog if ingested)

Step 2: Days 4–14 Repeat the process using the Petosan finger toothbrush to wipe the plaque from the surface of the teeth and gums. Do not force your dog and only clean where your dog allows you to. Do this regularly and reward your dog. If your dog is happy, move on to step 3.

Step 3: Day 15 and onwards Introduce your dog to the toothbrush. The Petosan double-headed toothbrush allows you to clean the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth at the same time with a single movement. Apply the paste to the toothbrush and let your dog lick it off. However, do not allow your dog to bite the brush. Move the brush slowly and gently along the teeth; we recommend starting by cleaning just a part of the teeth and gradually moving on to the whole set. Reward your dog. Be patient and repeat the process every day.
