A Natural Foundation for Your Terrarium
As a 100% natural material made from crushed coconut husks, Repti Planet Lignocel provides a safe and natural environment for your pets. Its structure allows for easy burrowing and creating hiding spots, which encourages the natural behaviour of reptiles and invertebrates. It is ready for immediate use, but it can also be mixed with other materials (sand, peat, bark, etc.). Unmixed, it can be used as a substrate for spiders and other invertebrates. For other animals, it is not recommended unmixed – if accidentally ingested while eating, it can cause digestive problems. For non-burrowing (especially arboreal) species, it can be used as a base layer and covered with another material, such as fir bark. Thanks to its ability to absorb water, it helps maintain stable humidity, which is crucial for species from tropical and subtropical regions. It can also be used as a basic growing medium for terrarium plants that do not require nutrient-rich soil.
Thermal Insulation and Correct Use
Thanks to its insulating properties, lignocel helps protect the terrarium's inhabitants from sudden changes in ambient temperature and maintains a more stable microclimate. However, when planning heating, it is necessary to be extra cautious. The substrate does not conduct heat, and therefore it is not suitable for use with heating cables or mats placed directly underneath it on the terrarium floor. Such a combination could lead to overheating and damage to the heating system. To ensure optimal conditions, other heating methods, such as heat bulbs, are recommended.

Instructions for Use:
Pour approximately 3–5cm onto the bottom of the terrarium and spread it out (depending on the species being kept). Recommended replacement every three months or as needed.
