This is a complementary food suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, degus and other rodents. Carrots are one of the best sources of beta-carotene, which the animal's body converts into vitamin A. Beetroot is a rich source of folic acid, potassium and vitamin C. Parsley is a vegetable with a high calcium content, making it very important for young rabbits, guinea pigs and other rodents, but it should be limited in older age. Parsnip contains a large amount of potassium (600mg per 100g) and is a valuable source of fibre. Celeriac – the roots are a rich source of vitamins B1, B2, B6 and C, as well as potassium, folic acid, magnesium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, sodium and many amino acids. It has anti-inflammatory properties.
