Calcium 500 mg Pharmavit are effervescent lemon-flavoured tablets containing calcium, which is necessary for proper muscle and nerve function, bone and tooth growth. The daily calcium requirement ranges from 500 to 2000 mg and increases during pregnancy, lactation and growth.
The product is used to cover the increased need for calcium during growth, pregnancy and lactation.
On the advice of a physician, it is used as part of the treatment for thinning of bones (osteoporosis), softening of bones (osteomalacia), for morbidly increased capillary permeability in allergic reactions, as a supportive treatment for spasmophilia and tetany (increased nervous irritability with a tendency to muscle spasms), and also promotes healing of fractures.
The product can be used by adults, adolescents and children from 5 years of age.
The package contains 20 effervescent tablets.
Dosage and method of use
Always take this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults take 1-2 tablets daily unless otherwise directed by a physician.
Children 5 years and older and adolescents take 1 tablet 1 time daily.
Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water (about 200 ml) and drink the solution when completely dissolved. The product should preferably be taken with meals or immediately after meals.
The product may be taken to cover increased calcium needs for 2 months without consulting a physician. If you are taking the medicine on the advice of a doctor, the dosage and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor.
