Octicide is an antiseptic solution (with disinfectant effects) intended for topical use. It is used for repeated short-term antiseptic treatment (to destroy bacteria and fungi) by application to mucous membranes and surrounding tissues before diagnostic procedures in the external genital and excretory organs, including the insertion of a urinary catheter.
It is also used for repeated, short-term antiseptic treatment of wounds (such as. abrasions, scratches, minor cuts, burns and insect bites). Colourless antiseptic solution with disinfectant effects for the treatment of minor skin and mucous membrane injuries. It destroys bacteria and fungi that can complicate healing in the wound. It is suitable for adults, adolescents and children. Use Octicide for a maximum of 14 days.
Dosage and method of use
For the treatment of wounds and injuries, apply the product to the affected area once daily unless otherwise directed by a physician. Octicide is used undiluted. The best results are achieved by application immediately after the injury or at the first signs of inflammation. Spray on the area to be treated to ensure complete moistening of the wound. For wounds, no covering with a bandage or plaster is usually necessary. However, it is recommended to cover the wound with a bandage to prevent possible later infection. Allow the wound to dry before covering - wait at least 1-2 minutes after applying the spray.
The maximum effect of Octicide is ensured within 2 hours of its use. If the wound does not heal properly or has signs of inflammation such as redness, burning or swelling at the application site, consult a doctor. Do not use this medicine for more than 14 days without consulting your doctor.
Contraindications
Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Special Notice: Do not inhale the aerosol when applying with a mechanical sprayer. Avoid the product entering the bloodstream, for example, as a result of accidental injection. Accidental penetration into the eye must be avoided. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Contact with anionic surfactants such as soap and common detergents may reduce or interfere with the effect of the product.
If recommended by a physician, the product can be used during pregnancy from the completion of the first three months of pregnancy. Do not use Octicide in the breast area during breastfeeding (do not use the product without the express advice of a doctor).

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after the abbreviation "EXP". The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store at temperatures up to 30 °C. After first opening, use Octicide within 12 months, taking into account the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
