Piracetam AL contains the medicinal substance piracetam. This substance positively affects the function of brain cells in the areas of learning and memory, alertness and consciousness. In patients with deficient central nervous system function, short- and long-term administration of piracetam increases alertness and improves cognitive abilities. Without consulting a physician, Piracetam AL is used in adults to treat symptoms of psychoorganic syndrome. Psychoorganic syndrome is a disorder of brain activity that manifests itself, e.g. memory loss, attention deficit disorder and lack of energy.
Dosage
Treatment of symptoms of psychoorganic syndrome in adults:
The usual daily dose of piracetam is 2.4-4.8 g.
This daily dose corresponds to the following dosage:
Piracetam AL 800 mg:
Take 1.5-3 tablets 2 times a day or 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. Do not take more than 6 tablets per day.
Piracetam AL 1200 mg:
Take 1-2 tablets 2 times a day. Do not take more than 4 tablets per day.
In the following indications, Piracetam AL is used only on the advice of a physician. Always take the medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. If you are unsure, consult your doctor. The dosage and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor.
Cortical myoclonia (involuntary twitching of individual muscles):
The dosage is determined by the doctor for each patient individually. The daily dose at the beginning of treatment is usually 7.2 g of piracetam, i.e. 9 tablets of Piracetam AL 800 mg or 6 tablets of the product.
Piracetam AL 1200 mg:
This daily dose is taken divided into 2-3 sub-doses. The daily dose will be gradually increased by your doctor (every three to four days) up to a total daily dose of 24 g, which is again taken divided into 2-3 sub-doses (i.e. 12 g of piracetam is taken 2 times a day or 8 g of piracetam. 3 times a day). In case of acute episodes, your doctor will adjust your dose. Piracetam AL should be taken while symptoms of your illness persist.
Use in children Developmental dyslexia:
The recommended dose for school-age children (8 years and older) and adolescents is 3.2 g of piracetam per day, i.e. 2 tablets of Piracetam AL 800 mg 2 times a day (morning and evening) or 1 and a half tablets of the medicine. Piracetam AL 1200 mg in the morning and 1 tablet of Piracetam AL 1200 mg in the evening, usually throughout. during the school year.
Take Piracetam AL with or without food. Swallow the tablets whole or cut in half, without chewing, with a glass of liquid (e.g. waters).
Contraindications
Pregnancy:
Piracetam AL should not be taken during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. The suitability of taking the product in pregnancy must be decided by a doctor. If you become pregnant while taking Piracetam AL, you must inform your doctor immediately so that he or she can decide whether to continue or stop treatment.
Breastfeeding:
Piracetam passes into human breast milk. Therefore, this product should not be used by breastfeeding women.

Storage
This product does not require any special storage conditions. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and blister.
