Priessnitz knee and elbow wrap for children, 30–40/22cm, grey

The Mamavis healing care wrap is designed for children to be applied to the knee and elbow area. It is made from cotton and has a three-layer insulated construction. It includes a removable inner part, which can be used for both dry and wet applications. The Velcro fastening allows you to adjust the circumference of the wrap from 25 to 30 cm, ensuring it stays securely in place on the body. Additionally, the inner part features a pocket for inserting herbs to enhance its effect.

Methods of use and preparation

The wrap offers versatile use. For a classic Priessnitz compress, soak the inner cotton part in cold water or a herbal decoction, wring it out well, and place it back into the wrap. Then, apply it to the affected area. The cold initially causes the blood vessels to constrict, after which they dilate, increasing blood flow and warming the tissue. For dry and warm application, simply heat the inner part, for example on a radiator or with an iron, and apply it. The herb pocket lets you insert dried herbs, which release their essences when warmed, helping to provide overall relief.

Material maintenance

Caring for the wrap is easy. Both the outer strap and the inner part can be washed separately in a washing machine at temperatures up to 40°C. To maintain its functionality and shape, using a tumble dryer is not recommended. After washing, let both parts air dry. The cotton material is gentle on children's skin and withstands repeated washing well. Do not use chemical bleaches or fabric softeners, as this could damage the fibres and affect the material's breathability.
