Prima Home Celiac test 1 pcs

A test for celiac disease to check for the presence of IgA and IgG antibodies against deamidated gliadin (anti-DGP) in the blood. The test is suitable for self-testing and is used to screen for celiac disease with a result in 10 min. Single self-diagnostic immunochromatographic test. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation of the small intestine. Symptoms of the disease include diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal bloating, malnutrition and skin reactions. This inflammation is caused by gliadin, the protein component of gluten, contained in wheat, barley, Rye, spelt and many other cereals. Recent studies have shown that subjects affected by celiac disease produce specific antibodies (IgA and IgG classes) against deamidated gliadin peptides (anti-DGP). These antibodies have a high specificity and sensitivity for celiac disease, which allows a very accurate diagnosis. Early diagnosis can reduce the progression of intestinal damage and prevent more serious complications. In vitro diagnostic medical device for individual use. Read the instructions for use and information on safe use carefully. Test registered with 01188949.

When can I use the test?
A celiac disease test is recommended, if symptoms are present, like diarrhea, abdominal pain and swelling, weight loss, fatigue and/or skin reactions. The test can be performed at any time of the day on a full or empty stomach.
Test principle:
The celiac disease test is a rapid immunochromatographic test to detect the presence of IgA and IgG class antibodies to DGP in whole blood. The test is designed to screen for celiac disease.
How does celakie work?
Gliadin is a protein component of gluten responsible for the immune response that causes intestinal inflammation in celiac disease patients. Recent studies on the diagnosis of celiac disease have shown that deamidated gliadin peptides in particular can induce strong immune responses. Antibodies directed against these peptides allow a very accurate diagnosis of celiac disease. The celiac disease test reveals the presence of IgA and IgG antibodies against deamidated gliadin peptides (anti-DGP). A positive result means that the concentration of these antibodies is approximately 20 U/ml (units/ml).
How accurate is the test?
The test is very accurate. Evaluation reports show agreement rates with reference methods above 90% (CI 95%: 82-98%) Usage: Follow the instructions in the instructions included in the package.
