Analogue and modern streaming in one
Streaming from the Pro-Ject T2 W turntable works with UPNP network support for most current network products (smart TVs, A/V home cinema receivers, streaming speakers, etc.). On one hand, it retains all the advantages of classic analogue listening, while on the other, it adapts to the modern lifestyle and needs of digital audio systems, all while maintaining Hi-Fi listening quality standards.
Quick set-up with Plug & Play
The Pro-Ject T2 W turntable is a Plug & Play device, which means it comes fitted not only with a 9" tonearm and a Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge with an elliptical stylus, but also has its tracking force pre-set at the factory. Simply fit the belt onto the sub-platter, place the platter on top, put on a record, and once the turntable is connected, you can start playing. The entire assembly process is very user-friendly and takes just a few minutes.
One-piece aluminium tonearm and glass platter
The 9" aluminium tonearm has an effective length of 230mm, a low-friction bearing, a viscous-damped lift, and a spring-loaded anti-skating mechanism controlled at the base of the tonearm – an interesting solution used for the first time on the Pro-Ject T2 W turntable. The tonearm is a single piece with a ½" mount, so the supplied Sumiko Rainier cartridge can be replaced at any time in the future. The turntable's dominant aesthetic feature is its 10mm thick clear glass platter. With a weight of 1.7kg, it guarantees minimal speed fluctuation. The platter is driven by a short, flat drive belt via a sub-platter on an ultra-precise (0.001mm) main bearing with a hardened steel axle.
Electronic speed control and phono pre-amplifier
The synchronous motor is powered by electronics that enable electronic speed switching between 33.3 and 45 rpm. The electronics also control the rotational speed stability. The speed selection rocker switch is conveniently located on the left side of the chassis. The electronics of the Pro-Ject T2 W turntable also include a phono pre-amplifier with passive RIAA equalisation, suitable for MM-type cartridges. The Pro-Ject turntable uses a phono pre-amplifier of this quality level specifically to ensure high-quality sound for streaming.
Quality chassis with an anti-vibration design
The chassis of the Pro-Ject T2 W turntable is made from a precisely machined MDF board with a gloss black micro-veneer finish, with alternative options of walnut or matte white. It rests on three sprung feet that help eliminate vibrations transmitted to the turntable from its surroundings. The base plate is free of any plastic parts, which further reduces vibration transfer and extends its lifespan.
Advanced connectivity and lossless streaming
The Pro-Ject T2 W turntable is distinguished from other turntables by its expanded connectivity via a 2.4 or 5GHz Wi-Fi network with IEEE 902.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards and 2×2 MIMO. In addition to the analogue signal output, the turntable's rear panel also has an RJ45 Ethernet socket and circuitry for wireless or network internet connection, a signal modulator for both LAN and wireless WLAN, and an A/D converter. The connection to a LAN network is automatic; Wi-Fi must be configured. The connection technology streams music losslessly at 24-bit/48kHz resolution to compatible devices, and the Pro-Ject Control app makes operation intuitive and easy. The lossless FLAC 48kHz/24-bit transmission format, combined with the 2×2 MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) WLAN standard, guarantees maximum signal stability and better protection against data loss. This stable transmission also delivers significantly better dynamics, fully comparable to an analogue recording.

The T2 W includes a heavily shielded phono cable with semi-symmetrical geometry and low capacitance, complete with RCA terminations.
